What is Stress?
One definition is ‘a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances’ Stress is a word used or heard many times in a day, so much so, that it isn’t always addressed and can even be accepted as the norm.
Stress is a response to a situation we are experiencing, depending on the situation and how well equipped we feel for it depends on whether the stress is positive as it motivates or is negative and demoralises us. Stress can build in an individual for a variety of reasons and understanding how to spot the build up and how to release the stress can be very effective in maintaining resilience and emotional wellbeing.
With this in mind we at ThriveMinds have designed a Resilience and Wellbeing weekend retreat. During this weekend individuals have the opportunity to explore their stress experiences, understand how they came about and identify tools and techniques to resolve or reduce the stress. This weekend is an opportunity for you to take a step back and gift yourself space and time to focus on you and how you tick. The weekend is designed to intertwine learning experiences and practical application with reflection, relaxation, fun and laughter.
